Fireplaces information

A campfire belongs to a camping evening as well as a barbecue to a warm summer evening.

There are some fireplaces at the tent area which are provided predominantly for tent groups. Usually, there is at least one free fireplace. Please apply for a using permission at the reception.

If you want to make a campfire, you have to take along appropriate wood. We deposit some inferior wood, e.g. the remains of tree-cut, near the fireplaces at the beginning of the season. The “searching” for wood on the campsite, in hedges, bush and on the lopping storage site is not allowed. Offence will be punished with remove from the premises or complaint.

The delivery has to be outside the rest period of the campsite.

10 rules for campfires:

1. The maximum height and diameter should be 1 meter.

2. Use only dry and natural wood.

3. No campfires when it is dry or windy weather.

4. Garbage does not belong in the fire. The burning of garbage is prohibited.

5. Spark the fire with chipped wood charcoal or grill lighter.

6. Always keep extinguishing agent ready – e.g. water, sand or fire extinguisher.

7. Never use fire accelerant like petrol, spirit, etc. – Danger of explosion!

8. Always make the fire with sufficient distance to buildings and flammable materials.

9. Extinguish the fire immediately if there are firebrands or strong smoke emission.

10. Always monitor the fire until the expiration of the embers.

General rules for our campsite:

Charcoal barbecue is allowed as far as all security rules are obeyed:

- Distance to flammable materials,
- Secure stand of the BBQ,
- Keep extinguishing agent ready,
- Secure distance for children
- The camping neighbours must not be disturbed.
 

Other fires are generally prohibited for security reasons.
