Workshop Weeks

take place twice a year in April and October, at Country Camping Schinderhannes and are  supported by the Perestroika Tours Team:

GPS, laptop, digital camera, and mobile phone ... the world of today offers you a lot of little helpers one never thought of years ago. But the world of the new equipment is also tricky. Can you operate all your gadgets? Do you know all the different functions? Do you need help in looking for a solution for your individual problem?

Use the opportunity to find out more about certain subjects, pick up some information, learn some tricks of the trade and find your individual setting.

The next workshop week is scheduled for calendar week 43 in 2009.



The Workshops:

EMAIL on the road:Find out more about connecting to the net whilst travelling, which provider to use, how to set up a free mail account and what advantages and disadvantages there are.

RUSSIAN:Here you get to know some basics for your next trip, learn the kyrillic alphabet, how to count and some useful phrases.....

GPS: You have heard about GPS and Navigation but what is it exactly?
Hear about the basics and what systems are most useful for your needs.

English for Campers: Lear the basics and some vocabulary around camping and travelling. If you are more knowledgeable exercise your conversation skills.

Digital picture processing for beginners: It’s pixel and what? The photos are on the laptop and now?
Find out how to make more of your holiday snaps.

My laptop and me – ­ two worlds meet?!
We are not going to turn you into a computer whizz, but here you can pick up a few useful hints and tricks for dealing with your toy. It is also the opportunity to ask things you never dared to ask.



Other subjects, which we are presenting as a additional programme one or two times (interest depending) during the week:

Mobile phone: Anyone can sms? But what are all the other options?
Let us show you what your phone can do, how to safe phone charges when travelling and what to look out for when choosing a new mobile and net provider.

Etiquette to Netiquette: Behaviour, on the road and in the World Wide Web.
Learn more about the characteristics of other cultures, how to behave at the cb radio and how to correspond casually and correct in the internet.
 
Introduction to the kitchens of our world: i.e. India
Our Indian Chef is explaining you some characteristics of the Indian Cuisine. He will introduce you to the various spices used and show how you can bring a touch of India into your pots and pans.  
   
Google and Google Earth ?
Everybody has heard about it. How is it the most useful? What to use?  What do avoid? A short introduction to the virtual world.


Registration, Charges, etc.
We are not charging for the courses, but we expect you to pay for your course materials. These are between 5 and 15 Euro, depending on your course.

A requirement to take part is that you are staying on our campsite during the course. We shall charge a special discounted price of 8 Euro per person/night.  

Just let us know what subjects you like to take part in: We take your name down and tell you what to bring along. We also give you an account number for the reservation fee. This, a charge of EUR 20/person will be taken as a deposit towards your course documents.

Ther is a maximum number of participants. Please do not choose more than 2 courses so you have some spare time left to digest the information and to take part in other happenings. The work shops are put into blocks so you have 2-3 days of 1,5 hours each.
